Is Social Media Proportionate to Business Growth ?
They say, “When the why is clear, how is easy”, it becomes obsolete in the case of using social media for our business growth. Social media is one very innovative and powerful tool which can offer great opportunities for our business in a very time and cost-efficient manner.
Most of the entrepreneurs now a days are using social media for their business growth. They create their Facebook and Instagram pages, with the thought that this would embark an instant growth in their business. However, little known fact is, using social media without a strategy would not result in a healthy business growth.
There is a four-step plan for using social media for the business growth. It can be stated briefly:
- Assess – Understanding of the prospective customer. A deep understanding about the customers’ profile is essential to plan the whole content and product according to the customer needs. One should study the customers’ geographical, demographical, psychographic as well as behavioural bases.
- Create – Next is to create the content which will engage and attract people to buy the product/service being provided. Here comes the new concept called, content marketing, i.e. an indirect medium to create the NEED for the product/service. It provides important information to the prospective customers.
- ETA (Engage Track Analyse) – The third step is publishing the content on social media, tracking how further creating a new strategy i.e. 4th step, depending on the analysis. It is also necessary to keep an open two-way communication, with prompt reactions on social media.
- Measure –The last and the final step is to co-relate the whole process with metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in order to measure the ROI one receives from the whole effort channelized through social media marketing. The ultimate objective is to generate more revenue and business through this medium.
Social media marketing is like a sword, which if used by an expert will kill the opponent will full force, but if given in the hands of immature, may not give you the anticipated result. It should be used carefully, as it may make or break ones brand.
