Celebrating Women, Growth & Leadership

Own Your Spotlight 2026 brings women entrepreneurs together to strengthen WEsibility, growth and leadership

New Delhi, August 22: The Women Entrepreneurs Foundation (WEF India) hosted its Annual National Summit, Own Your Spotlight 2026, at Radisson Blu, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, bringing together more than 50 women entrepreneurs, professionals, founders and changemakers.

The summit was built around the WEision of creating a stronger ecosystem for women in business through knowledge, mentorship, networking, WEsibility, recognition and business opportunities. The initiative seeks to support women not only in starting businesses but also in building sustainable enterprises and taking a more active role in the mainstream economy.

The programme opened with a Ganesh Pujan, followed by a Ganesh Vandana presented by Pooja Aggarwal.

Founder of WEF India, Advocate Manvi Rajvanshy, addressed the gathering and spoke about the need for women entrepreneurs to have access to the knowledge, guidance, connections and opportunities required to build sustainable businesses and careers.

One of the key sessions was a 20-minute panel discussion that examined the entrepreneurial journey from WEsibility and brand building to financial and legal strength, business growth, scaling, leadership, well-being and legacy.

Digital Marketing Strategist Payal Singhal opened the discussion with the theme, ‘Build Your Brand, Own Your WEsibility’. The conversation examined how entrepreneurs can communicate their expertise and build a stronger digital presence rather than relying solely on the quality of their work to gain recognition.

Ankita Chaudhary, CMO, Neeta Life Sciences, discussed the movement from WEsibility to brand credibility. The session emphasised that being seen is only an initial step and that sustained brand value depends on consistency, credibility, customer experience and a clear understanding of what differentiates a business.

Business Coach Ishleen Kaur highlighted the importance of mentorship in helping entrepreneurs navigate challenges, make informed decisions and develop leadership capabilities. The discussion also examined the transition from personally managing every aspect of a business to creating systems, teams and a scalable enterprise.

Neha Mahajan, Special Coordinator, National Commission for Women, brought a perspective on participation, leadership and access to opportunities for women. The discussion considered the role of awareness, confidence and support systems in enabling more women to build and sustain businesses.

Dr. Neelam Parwani, Holistic Healer, addressed the relationship between business growth and the well-being of the entrepreneur, while Sana Baqai, Auditor and Chartered Accountant, spoke about financial discipline, compliance and business protection as foundations that should be established before scaling.

The panel brought together these perspectives into a broader entrepreneurial progression — Be Seen → Build Trust → Build Structure → Understand Real Business → Scale → Create Opportunities → Sustain Yourself.

The summit also featured focused discussions on personal branding and thought leadership, scaling and sustaining women-led businesses, networking and growth opportunities, mentorship and collaboration, and protection of brands, content and intellectual assets.

A 30-second ‘Power Talk’ gave participating women an opportunity to introduce their organisations, professional identities, entrepreneurial journeys and achievements.

Recognition formed another part of the programme. Around 45 women participated in the award nominations, presenting their businesses, work and entrepreneurial journeys before the jury and panelists. Ishita Jain, Dr. Niyati Arora, Megha Mahajan and Varshee Rathee were among those recognised, with Varshee Rathee receiving recognition under the Emotional Well-being as a Business category in WE Business.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Leena Namjoshi in recognition of her professional journey spanning arts, cultural management, design, media and entrepreneurship. With more than 15 years of experience, her work reflects the intersection of creativity and cultural entrepreneurship.

Advocate Vikas Nagwan also addressed the gathering, speaking about the importance of creating impact through consistent, everyday action.

Certificates were presented to jury members, panelists and participants in recognition of their participation and contribution to the summit. The programme concluded with networking over hi-tea, providing participants an opportunity to exchange experiences, business ideas and potential collaboration opportunities.

The jury members and panelists later shared their reflections on the initiative, including the need for platforms that provide women entrepreneurs with mentorship, WEsibility, networking, recognition and business growth opportunities.

According to WEF India, Own Your Spotlight 2026 is part of a larger WEision to bring at least 50 women-owned businesses annually into the mainstream economic fabric, while creating opportunities for WEsibility, networking, recognition, collaboration and growth.

The summit therefore placed WEsibility within a wider entrepreneurial framework — one in which women-led businesses are expected not merely to be seen, but to build credibility, strengthen their foundations, scale sustainably and participate more fully in India’s economic landscape.
